Happy New Year from Excel!

Happy New Year 2014The holidays were a quiet time at Excel. There was no official office party this year but there were treats in the form of popcorn tins and truffles sent to the office by our CRNAs! Jenny and Brant brought in homemade candies and cookies, some of which have yet to be eaten. Don’t worry, they WILL get eaten, but we are trying to pace ourselves.

Thanks to all those who contributed to our holiday cheer with treats and well wishes.

We are looking forward to 2014 with excitement and a renewed enthusiasm. We are positioned for growth this year and expect to be adding new clients in the first few months. We hired a new CRNA who will be starting in February and have hired new office staff as well (look for more detail about them in future posts!)

Happy Holidays from Excel Anesthesia!

Happy Holidays from Excel Anesthesia

It’s that time of year again when people are shopping for gifts, planning parties, and looking forward to time with friends and family.  In Kansas City, we are trying to do this while staying warm in 15-20 degree weather!

In spite of all the hustle and bustle, we wanted to take a moment and wish you Happy Holidays!  Enjoy the time off and the good food.

Excel Anesthesia will be closed Christmas day, December 25th and New Years Day, January 1st, but we are open the rest of the time.  Most of our team is staying in town for the holidays.  We wish anyone traveling a safe journey!

Jean Covillo Elected to MOANA Region 1 Director

In September 2013, Jean Covillo, Managing Member of Excel Anesthesia, was elected as MoANA’s Region 1 Director.  MoANA, the Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists, is a state CRNA membership organization that works to advance the profession of nurse anesthesia, serving all citizens of Missouri.

As Region 1 Director, Jean will represent and promote the professional interests of those CRNAs residing in the Kansas City, Missouri region and its immediate surrounding areas.

Jean has more than 20 years experience as a CRNA, including 17 years in private practice as an owner/manager of the largest CRNA company in the Midwest region.  She has witnessed the profound impact of poorly drafted legislation that places unrealistic and unnecessary supervisory restrictions on the practice of anesthesia by CRNAs.  The end result is that these restrictions further limit patient access to quality healthcare services.
